Anmon Falls

What it is

• A series of three distinct waterfalls located on the Anmon River.
• Part of the Tsugaru Shirakami Prefectural Natural Park within Shirakami-Sanchi.
• The site uses Aqua Village ANMON as its primary tourist base.
• The falls were documented by traveler Sugae Masumi as early as 1796.

What to see

• The first waterfall which drops from a height of forty-two meters.
• The second waterfall standing thirty-seven meters high.
• The third waterfall which has a height of twenty-six meters.
• A two-point-three kilometer walking path leading through the natural park.
• A tunnel excavated near the second waterfall dating back to 1963.
