What it is

  • A keyhole-shaped burial mound, built in the 5th century.
  • Designated as an Osaka Prefecture Historic Site.
  • Part of Tennoji Park since 1925.
  • Site of the 1615 Battle of Chausuyama.

  • The 26-meter-high mound, one of Osaka's five low mountains.
  • Kawazoko Pond, between the kofun and the park.
  • Stone coffin lid from here is at Shitennoji Temple.
