Furepe Falls

What it is

• A sixty-meter waterfall that flows directly from a cliff into the Sea of Okhotsk
• One of the Eight Views of Shiretoko located within a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site
• Nicknamed Maiden's Tears because groundwater seeps through cracks in the cliff face
• A natural feature situated within the protected boundaries of Shiretoko National Park
