What it is

  • A hot spring area designated as a National Health Resort in 1971.
  • The spring reportedly began flowing approximately 1700 years ago.
  • Legend says Empress Jingu bathed Emperor Ojin in these waters.
  • One of only three National Health Hot Springs located in Kyushu.
