Ikujihana Lighthouse

What it is

• A maritime beacon marking the boundary between the Sea of Japan and Toyama Bay.
• The current structure was first lit in 1951, replacing an original 1907 lighthouse.
• It is the second tallest lighthouse located in the Hokuriku region.
• This was the first lighthouse in Japan to feature an automatic winding device.
