Koshidō bridge

What it is

• A 596-meter-long steel continuous box girder bridge spanning the Shinano River in Nagaoka.
• The current structure was completed in 1998 to carry two lanes of traffic.
• It connects the Koshiji and Kawahigashi areas as part of Niigata Prefectural Route 23.
• The original crossing was a former railway bridge that operated as a toll road.
