Kujūku Islands

What it is

• A collection of 208 islands located on the west coast of Kitamatsuura Peninsula.
• The entire area is designated as the Saikai National Park.
• Four of the islands in this group are currently inhabited by people.
• A production site for both natural and cultured oysters.

• The Northern and Southern sections of the island chain.
• Kameko Island which is the only island made of igneous rock.
