Mie Castle is a Ryukyuan gusuku built in 1546 to protect Naha Port.
What it is
- A Ryukyuan gusuku, a type of Okinawan castle.
- Built in 1546 by King Sho Sei.
- Constructed to protect Naha Port.
- Repelled the Satsuma fleet in 1609.

- Castle ruins at the mouth of the Kokuba River.
- Site of a 1879 watchtower.
