Mount Goryu

What it is

• A 2,814-meter peak located in the Ushiro-Tateyama Mountain Range.
• One of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains on the Toyama and Nagano border.
• Part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park with a southern slope designated as a Natural Monument.
• A mountain first climbed in 1908 consisting of welded tuff and biotite granite.

• A diamond-shaped snow pattern that resembles the Takeda clan crest.
