Mount Harinoki
針ノ木岳
A 2,821-meter peak in the Hida Mountains featuring one of Japan's three major snow valleys and historic alpine climbing routes.
What it is
- A 2,821-meter mountain located within the Chubu Sangaku National Park.
- One of Japan's 200 Famous Mountains situated on the Toyama and Nagano border.
- Site of the Harinoki Hut which first opened for climbers in July 1930.
- The location where Sassa Narimasa crossed the mountain pass in the winter of 1584.
