Notsukesaki Lighthouse
野付埼灯台
A functional lighthouse on the Notsuke Peninsula offering views of Kunashiri Island and surrounding seasonal flower gardens.
What it is
- A maritime navigation light managed by the Nemuro Coast Guard.
- The original structure first lit up on November 5, 1953.
- The current lighthouse building dates back to November 1982.
- It stands at Ryujinzaki facing the narrowest part of the Nemuro Strait.
