What it is
- The largest uninhabited island on the Echizen Coast within a Quasi-National Park.
- Home to Ominato Shrine which was reportedly established during the Hakuchi era.
- A 10.2 hectare landmass composed of rhyolite with columnar and platy joints.
- Connected to the mainland by a bridge spanning 224 meters.
