What it is

  • Urban park in Yokohama, also called Kaiko Kinen Hiroba.
  • Site of the signing of the Treaty of Peace and Amity.
  • Opened in 1982, received a city Townscape Award in 1985.

  • Stone monument marks the treaty signing site.
  • Brick manhole and sewer remains from 1882 are visible.
