Ancient keyhole-shaped tomb, Shikinzan Kofun, holds significant artifacts from early Japan.
What it is
- A keyhole-shaped tumulus, an ancient burial mound.
- Designated cultural property of Osaka Prefecture.
- Excavation started in May 1947.
What to see
- Tumulus is 110 meters long.
- Rear circular part is 76 meters in diameter.
- Front part is 40 meters wide.
- Vertical pit stone chamber is 9 by 4 meters.
- Grave goods include jade, swords, and iron arrowheads.
- Three types of mirrors were found.
