What it is

Buddhist hall in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture.
Dedicated to Jizo Bodhisattva.
An extra-numbered temple of the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.
Built by Shinnen during the Tenwa era (1681-1683).

What to see

Eighty-eight replica stone Buddhas from the Meiji era.
55 cho-ishi (milestones) along a 14km section.
Repaired seated statue of Kobo Daishi, enshrined 2023.
