Shitori Shrine
倭文神社
Shitori Shrine is an ancient mountainside shrine in Tottori, housing important deities and a historic sword.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha shrine, formerly ranked Gosha.
- Dedicated to Takehatsuchi-no-mikoto and Onamuchi-no-mikoto.
- Also enshrines Futsunushi-no-kami and Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto.
What to see
- Main hall, worship hall, and shrine office, rebuilt in 1919.
- A Kamakura period sword donated by Kamei Musashi-no-kami Korenori.
