What it is

  • A cable-stayed bridge measuring 860 meters long that opened in September 1989
  • The structure connects Honmoku Pier and Daikoku Pier across the Yokohama harbor
  • Construction on the bridge began in November 1980 based on the Meiko Nishi Bridge design
  • The upper deck carries the Shuto Expressway while the lower deck carries National Route 357
