  • A kofun, or ancient burial mound, in Tenri City.
  • Part of the Todaijiyama Kofun Group.
  • Designated as a National Historic Site in 1992.
  • Dates to the late 4th to early 5th century.

What to see

  • A keyhole-shaped mound, at least 106.5 meters long.
  • Mound built in two stages.
  • Fukiishi and cylindrical Haniwa found on the surface.
  • Figurative Haniwa were also excavated.
  • Burial goods include magatama and stone implements.
  • The kofun is now open to the public as a park.
