Asakusa Shrine is a historic Tokyo shrine next to Senso-ji, dedicated to three founders and other deities.
What it is
- A shrine next to Senso-ji Temple's main hall.
- Also known as Sanja-Gongen or Sanja-sama.
- Enshrines three ancestors as gods, founded 1649.
- Dedicated to Hoji-no-Manakachi, Hinokuma-no-Hamanari, and Hinokuma-no-Takenari.

- Main hall, heiden, and haiden are important cultural properties.

- May for the annual Sanja Matsuri festival.
