What it is

  • An ancient workshop site, active from the late 7th to 8th century.
  • Designated a National Historic Site.
  • Discovered in 1991, with large-scale excavation starting in 1997.

What to see

  • Site spans over 230 meters north to south.
  • Over 300 furnaces were found.
  • 560 unfinished Fuhon-sen coins were excavated.
  • A wooden tablet has the oldest confirmed record of "Emperor".
