A unique shrine dedicated to aviation, honoring pioneers and war dead.
What it is
- Aviation Shrine, founded in 1937 within a flying school.
- It enshrines Amaterasu Omikami, Emperor Jimmu, Emperor Meiji.
- Also honors war dead and those who died in service.
- Relocated to Kitano Tenjinja Shrine in 1945.
What to see
- A replica of the Maurice Farman aircraft No. 18.
- Goshuin and omamori are available from 2024.
When to go
- Annual festival held on a Sunday near April 15th.
