Awai Shrine is a historic site dedicated to Amenofutodama-no-mikoto, known for its beautiful hydrangeas.
What it is
- A Myojin Taisha-ranked Shikinaisha shrine.
- One of 24 Shikinaisha shrines in Sanuki Province.
- Dedicated to the deity Amenofutodama-no-mikoto.
- Rebuilt in 1620 by Ikoma Masatoshi.
