What it is

  • Founded in 1606 or 1607.
  • Dedicated to Sukunahikona-no-mikoto, Sugawara no Michizane, and Sarutahiko-no-kami.
  • Worshipped for safe childbirth, child-rearing, and academics.
  • Dosojinja Shrine and Tenjinsha Shrine merged here in 1908.
