Chōō-ji Temple
長応寺
Chōōji is a historic Nichiren-shu temple in Tokyo, re-established by a Tokugawa concubine.
What it is
- A Nichiren-shu Jimmon-ryū temple in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
- Founded in 1479 by the Udon clan.
- Re-established in 1590 by Tokugawa Ieyasu's concubine.

- Cemetery contains the ashes of Nishigōri-no-Tsubone.
