- A Tendai sect temple, founded by Kakuyu between 810 and 823.
- Dedicated to the Eleven-faced Kannon Bosatsu.
- The 13th temple of the Ena Thirty-three Kannon Pilgrimage.
- Restored in 1932 after being abolished in 1868.
