Chorakuji is a historic Soto Zen temple with unique architecture and important Buddhist relics.

- Established in 1346, refounded as Soto Zen in 1649.
- Rebuilt in 1678.
- The 29th temple of the Taki Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.

- Main hall has a thatched roof with a safety roof.
- Main deity is Shokannon Bosatsu.
- Kannon-do enshrines Nyoirin Kannon Bosatsu.
- Daishi-do enshrines Kobo Daishi.
- Koyasu Jizo-son is present.
- Sacred bones of Xuanzang were temporarily placed here.
