Chōshō-ji Temple
長松寺
Choshoji Temple is a historic Rinzai Zen temple with a unique connection to a Scottish museum.
What it is
- A Rinzai sect Daitoku-ji school temple.
- Founded by Matsubara Shigeyuki, a Hojo clan vassal.
- Keizan Osho, who died in 1554, was also a founder.
What to see
- A Buddha statue from here is in Scotland.
- The statue is in the National Museum of Scotland.
