Chōtoku-ji Temple is a historic Jishu temple in Shinagawa, home to a notable Enma-o statue.

What it is

  • A Jishu sect temple.
  • Founded in 1468 by Arikami Tokugawa.
  • One of three Jishu temples in Shinagawa-shuku.
  • Received territory from Ieyasu Tokugawa in 1591.

  • An Enma-do hall.
  • An enthroned statue of Enma-o.
  • Known as "Minami-Shinagawa no Oenma-sama."
