Chōzen-ji Temple
長禅寺
Chōzen-ji Temple is a historic Rinzai Zen temple, home to important Takeda clan artifacts.
What it is
- Rinzai sect independent temple.
- One of the Kofu Gozan (Five Great Temples of Kofu).
- Converted to Rinzai Zen by Muso Soseki in 1316.
- Moved to Kofu by Takeda Shingen after his mother's death.
