Daijō-in Temple
大乗院
A Tendai temple in Hiratsuka, rebuilt after WWII, known for its saved Amida Nyorai image.
What it is
- A Tendai sect temple.
- The 29th sacred site of Sagami New Shikoku 33 Kannon.
- Restored during the Jishō era (1177-1181) by Sōen Tsuchiya.
- Rebuilt in 1949 after being destroyed in an air raid.
