What it is

  • The 67th temple of the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.
  • Founded in 742 as a branch of Todai-ji Temple.
  • Rebuilt in 822 by Kukai.
  • Main deity is Yakushi Nyorai.

  • Current main hall, rebuilt in 1741.
  • Nio-mon gate, rebuilt in 1796.
  • Wooden seated statue of Yakushi Nyorai.
