What it is

  • A Buddhist temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect.
  • Founded around 970 AD, one of the oldest in the ward.
  • The 28th temple of the Shin-Shikoku Eastern Eighty-Eight Sacred Places.

What to see

  • Main deity is a seated statue of Dainichi Nyorai.
  • Main hall and gate rebuilt in 1701.
  • Bishamondo enshrines dual-bodied Bishamonten.
  • Jizodo enshrines stone statues of the Six Jizo.
