Emyō-ji Temple is a historic Buddhist temple, a quiet stop on a pilgrimage route.
What it is
- A Buddhist temple of the Shingon-shu Chizan-ha sect.
- Founded in 1276 or 1278.
- The 11th site of the New Shikoku Shikaryo 88 Pilgrimage.
- Designated a resting place for Tokugawa Yoshimune.
