Enju-in Temple
延寿院
Enju-in Temple is a historic Shingon temple known for its fire walking festival.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha temple.
- Originally located in the center of Abiko-shuku.
- Moved to Nenokami Daikokuten grounds in 1918.
What to see
- Neshogun statue and Daikokuten statue, enshrined in 964.
- Shrine building donated by Minamoto no Yoritomo.
When to go
- Late October for the Saito Goma Hiwatari fire walk.
