- Founded by Kukai in 808.

- Rebuilt during the Kamakura period by Rankei Doryu.

- Jizo-do Hall was built in the late Muromachi period.
- Shiozawa-ji Muhoto is a Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property.
- Muhoto has an inscription from 1374.
- Shiozawa-ji no Maizuru no Matsu is a Prefectural Natural Monument.
