Fujikiri Shrine
藤切神社
Fujikiri Shrine is an ancient shrine on Chigusa Pass, revered by the Sasaki clan.
What it is
- Founded in 781 by Nakatomino Kiyomaro.
- Dedicated to three deities: Tagorihime, Ichikishimahime, Okitsuhime.
- Became a village shrine in 1876.
- Crest is Hidari Mitsu Tomoe.
What to see
- Current shrine building dates from 1802.
- Located on the Chigusa Pass.
- Kasuga Shrine is a subordinate shrine.
When to go
- Fire Prevention Festival is on January 8.
- Annual Festival is on April 5.
