Fukō-ji Temple

Fukō-ji Temple, or Hydrangea Temple, is a historic site with unique rock-carved Buddhas.
What it is
- A temple of the Kōyasan Shingon sect.
- Founded by Nichira, who served the king of Baekje.
- One of seven temples Nichira founded in Bungo Province.
- Known as Hydrangea Temple.
