Fukuju-ji Temple is a historic Obaku sect temple with a unique main image and original structures.
What it is
- Obaku sect Buddhist temple, founded in 1665.
- Founded by Ogasawara Tadazane and Sokuhi Nyoitsu.
- Main image is Shaka Nyorai.
- Designated a Prefectural Historic Site in 1969.

- Main hall, survived an 1866 fire.
- Head of the main image, survived the fire.
- Entrance gate, dates from before 1866 fire.
