Fumyō-ji Temple

Fumyoji is a historic Soto Zen temple with unique cultural properties and a rainmaking horse skull.
What it is
- A Soto Zen temple in Takarazuka City.
- Founded in the mid-Heian period by Minamoto no Yorihira.
- Originally a Shingon sect temple, later rebuilt as Soto Zen.
- Served as an imperial prayer temple during the Chotoku era.
