What it is

  • An ancient burial mound (kofun) in Taishi Town, Osaka Prefecture.
  • Part of the Shinaga Valley Kofun Group.
  • Designated as a National Historic Site since 1956.
  • Dates to the late Kofun period, around the 7th century.

  • A unique twin-mound shape, approximately 66 meters long.
  • Two square mounds, each about 25 meters per side.
  • A three-tiered construction.
