What it is

  • A Rinzai sect temple in Kyoto, founded in 1603.
  • It is a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji Temple.
  • Rebuilt in 1609 after a fire.
  • Not usually open to the public.

  • Main hall has 70 ink paintings by Kano Tan'yu and others.
