Hachiman Shrine in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, holds a connection to one of Japan's most significant shrines. It was established in 1578, having been invited from Kyoto Prefecture's Iwashimizu Hachimangu.
This shrine enshrines Emperor Ojin and historically served as the tutelary deity for the Nishitawara district. Its name was officially changed to Hachiman Shrine in 1872.
In 1882, the shrine received the designation of a village shrine, marking its local importance.
