Henjo-in Temple is a historic Buddhist temple with a unique railroad crossing entrance.
What it is
- A Buddhist temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect.
- Founded in 1458 by Yuto.
- Also known as 'Fumikiri-dera' (railroad crossing temple).
- Moved to its current location in 1590.
What to see
- A railroad crossing in front of the main gate.
- The Keikyu Main Line runs through the temple grounds.
- The current main hall, built in 1956.
