Henjō-in Temple
遍照院
Ancient Tokyo temple, rebuilt after war, holds a unique cultural property.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha temple in Tokyo's Katsushika Ward.
- Founded in 710, it was the oldest temple in the ward.
- Destroyed in 1538, it was rebuilt in 1572.
- It is the 35th site of the New Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.

- Henjō-in Igyō Itabi, a designated tangible cultural property.
