Hikawa Shrine

What it is

• A historic village shrine formerly known as Hikawa Daimyojin during the Shotoku era.
• The site appears on village maps dating back to at least 1698.
• It was historically managed by monks from the nearby Tamon-in Temple.
• The government officially designated it as a village shrine in 1873.
