Hiyoshi Shrine
日吉神社
Hiyoshi Shrine, or Sanno-san, is a historic shrine in Izumo City, easily accessible from the station.
What it is
- Affectionately known as Sanno-san.
- Dedicated to Onamuchi-no-mikoto and Oyamakui-no-kami.
- Sanno-sha was established by the mid-15th century.
- Renamed Hiyoshi Shrine in 1871.

- The current main building was constructed in 1913.
