Hōkai-ji Temple is a historic Jōdo-shū Buddhist temple with a unique stone Buddha.

- Founded between 999 and 1004 by Chōsei koji.
- Restored in 1613 by Myōyo Zenkai.
- Shoguns used it as a resting place.
