Hoko-ji Temple is a historic Jodo Shinshu temple with a notable Amitabha Nyorai statue.
What it is
- A Jodo Shinshu Otani-ha Buddhist temple.
- Its Sango is Kurienzan.
- Restored by Zendai from Aki Province during the Tenbun era.
What to see
- The principal image is a wooden standing Amitabha Nyorai statue.
- A document, Kirishitan Monki, was found in 1968.
- Remains of memorial towers were found north of the main hall.
