Honcho-ji is a historic Nichiren temple in Osaka, home to a unique Nichiren statue and a literary museum.

What it is

  • Nichiren Buddhist temple in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture.
  • Founded in 1471 by Gon-daisōzu Nichijun.
  • Its mountain name is Hokke-zan.
  • Former head temple was Kyoto Honman-ji.
