Honchō-ji Temple
本澄寺
Honcho-ji is a historic Nichiren temple in Osaka, home to a unique Nichiren statue and a literary museum.
What it is
- Nichiren Buddhist temple in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture.
- Founded in 1471 by Gon-daisōzu Nichijun.
- Its mountain name is Hokke-zan.
- Former head temple was Kyoto Honman-ji.
