Hongaku-ji Temple

Hongaku-ji Temple is a historic Nichiren temple with a unique Inari shrine.
What it is
- A Nichiren sect temple.
- Founded in 1591 by Sekine Uhei.
- Moved to current site after 1657 Great Fire of Meireki.
- Restored in 1902 by Chihouin Nitto.
What to see
- The Soshido, rebuilt in 1975.
- Fukutoku Inari Daimyojin shrine, rebuilt in 1984.
- Fukutoku Inari Daimyojin, enshrined in 905.
Getting there
- 9-minute walk from Inaricho Station.
- Inaricho Station is on the Ginza Line.
